Escape the city and enjoy memorable horseback adventures with our range of guided horse treks. With 600 acres of beautiful farmland, treks diversify between rolling paddocks to native bush, streams and pine forests. Most treks offer extensive views of the Makara Windfarm.
Guided by our friendly, experienced staff, you have a choice of excellent riding horses to suit all levels of experience. Beginners are welcome!
Horse treks operate weekends, all year round, and vary in duration from 1 to 3.5 hours. During school holidays, horse treks are available on Wednesdays. Bookings are essential and riders must arrive 30 minutes prior to departure.

The Great Coast Ride – 3.5 hours
Join us on a ride over some of the 3000 acres of scenic farmland that lies on Wellington’s west coast. Ride along cliff tops above the Cook Strait. The views to the South Island are simply breathtaking.
The ultimate city escape. This trek is appropriate for riders with some previous experience.
